Today in Oakville: February 2, 2013

Cross Country Ski TrailWeather

We're starting off today at a chilly minus 10, but feels like minus 19. We'll see scattered clouds with a chance of flurries with only a trace amount of snow. The high will get up to minus 6 by the afternoon, and then will drop down to minus 10. The winds will be moderate at 25 km/h coming out of the south-west. So it is going to be a great day to go skiing downhill or cross country - though I'm not sure if people actually cross-country anymore. If you are planning on going skating on a creek - please be extremely careful, especially on Bronte Creek and the 16 mile creek - water was moving extremely fast giving the illusion that there may be more ice than there is. The sun rose at 7:33 AM and will set at 5:31

Quote of the Day

Snowboarding is an activity that is very popular with people who do not feel that regular skiing is lethal enough. - Dave Barry
