Choir | MasterWorks of Oakville

Masterworks of Oakville Chorus & Orchestra is pleased to announce that we are ringing in the holiday season with a concert of Bach's Christmas Oratorio. What better way to start the season than attending a joyous and festive concert featuring Oakville's premier choir!

Masterworks is known for its selection of the most challenging choral works; works seldom performed outside metropolitan centres. Oakville is fortunate to have such a group right here in our community. For this upcoming concert we will be performing with a choir of 85 and an orchestra of 35 and will be recorded for broadcast on TVCogeco.

Artistic Director Charles Demuynck states "Bach's Christmas Oratorio brings the joy of the season with brilliant and joyful choruses resounding. The story of Christ's birth is told by four talented soloists, an excellent chorus of your friends and neighbours, and a virtuoso orchestra with spectacular trumpet solos. An event not to be missed!"

Professional soloists incude Allison Arends, soprano; Christy Derksen, mezzo soprano; Lenard Whiting, tenor and Jesse Clark, bass
