Police are investigating after construction equipment was stolen from an Oakville storage lot sometime within the last several months. The company estimates the loss at around $16,000 and says it is not their first encounter with local criminals.

According to Halton Police Constable Jeff Dillon, 60 concrete forming beams were stolen from a storage lot near Speers Road and Bronte Road between December 2023 and May 2024.

The equipment belongs to Khalsa Forming Inc., a concrete contractor based in Mississauga. JD Khalsa, the company's president, noted that this is the fourth theft incident the company has faced, with the previous three occurring at job sites.

Khalsa estimates the loss value of the 60 forming beams to be around $16,000 and is shocked by the incident, as it is unclear why someone would take these materials or what they would do with them.

There is no suspect information at this time.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2216. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca.
