Halton Police are investigating two residential break-ins to homes in south Oakville over the weekend believed to be linked.

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., three suspects broke into a home on Chamberlain Lane by smashing through a second-floor bathroom window.

Despite residents being upstairs at the time and contacting police, the suspects managed to flee before the police arrived. The suspects could only be described as three individuals wearing dark clothing.

Cash and jewellery were reported stolen.

The second break-in took place shortly after the first incident, though exact details remain unconfirmed regarding the date and time of the break-in.

The home was located on MacDonald Road, a short distance away from the first home. Similar methods were used, with suspects entering the house by smashing a second-floor bathroom window. The home was unoccupied during this incident, and jewellery was reported stolen.

Police believe there is a connection between the two occurrences. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
