Halton Police are currently investigating two separate thefts at an Oakville home and business.

Earlier this week, on Monday, April 29, 2024, at around 2:30 a.m. a home in the area of Maple Grove Drive and Lakeshore Road East had its windows smashed by suspects wearing hoodies and masks.

According to Halton Police Constable Jeff Dillon, the suspects entered the front foyer and took a wallet before fleeing in a white sedan.

Constable Dillon says the homeowner was home at the time of the break-in but did not confront the suspects or sustain any injuries.

The suspects are described as male, wearing masks and dark-coloured clothing with hoods pulled up. It is unclear how many suspects entered the home.

In a separate incident from April 25, police attended the office of Routes Transport International, located at 2823 Bristol Circle at around 12:15 a.m.

Constable Dillon says a transport trailer was broken into and the suspects made off with various computer parts and computer electronics, the quantity and type of which have yet to be determined.

Dillon says the initial loss estimate is over $5,000.

No suspect information is available.

Anyone with information about either of these investigations is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2216. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca.
