Police are investigating a theft that occurred at an Oakville LCBO store and are asking for the public's help.

The store in question is located at 231 Cornwall Road last weekend on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at around 8:50 p.m.

According to Halton Police Constable Jeff Dillon, two male suspects allegedly stole 12 bottles of alcohol worth approximately $1,100.

When confronted by an employee, one suspect allegedly pulled out and pointed a can of pepper spray at them but did not deploy it. Both suspects then left the store with the alcohol.

No physical injuries were reported.

Police say the first suspect is described as a male, brown, 5’ 10”, 150 pounds, mid-20s, with a dark beard, wearing a dark-coloured winter jacket, jeans, and a light-coloured shirt.

The second male suspect is described as 5’ 11”, brown, mid-40s, with a dark beard, wearing a dark-coloured jacket and dark-coloured shirt, blue jeans, and carrying two red grocery bags.

The Cornwall Road LCBO has been the target of thefts in the past, though not for some time: in summer 2021, there was a string of robberies from the store, but there have been no reported incidents in almost three years.
