At around 8:40 a.m. today, on Friday, Jun. 16, there was a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street East. The vehicle, a pick-up truck, struck a streetlight pole and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop on the grass at the corner of the intersection; it was traveling westbound.
The 39-year-old male driver was transported to a local hospital, without vital signs, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is under investigation.
The intersection had been closed for several hours this morning, but has since been re-opened.
