Oakville & Milton Humane Society is looking for nominations for its annual volunteer awards.

Oakville & Milton Humane Society has hundreds of devoted volunteers and community partners, those who give their time, talents and energy to caring for animals.

Now they want to recognize some of them.

OMHS is now accepting nominations for its volunteer awards.

Submissions can be made online here until next Thursday, May 9, with a subcommittee of the board of directors’ community engagement committee reviewing the entries and selecting recipients in the following categories:

Outstanding Volunteer Service Award
Presented to a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to improve the quality of life for animals. 

Outstanding Youth Volunteer Achievement Award
Presented to a youth volunteer who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for animals. 

Foster Family of the Year Award
Presented to a foster family that has demonstrated exceptional accomplishments in fostering animals. 

Lifetime Achievement Award
Presented to a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in demonstrating compassion for animals and has also demonstrated exceptional service/leadership qualities. 

Outstanding Corporation Award
Presented to a corporation or business who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for animals. 

Youth Animal Crusader Award
Presented to a youth fundraiser who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for animals. 

Outstanding Veterinary Partner Award
Presented to a veterinary organization that has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for animals. 

Patch Challenge Award
Presented to a child who has demonstrated kindness and compassion towards animals.
