According to figures released today by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales decreased by 3.2 per cent in June compared to the same period in 2013. Monthly property sales totalled 844 compared to 872 in June 2013.
“With the number of new listings up over eight per cent in June and five per cent overall in 2014, there is a lot of choice for buyers in the market,” said Jack McCrudden, President of OMDREB.“Milton continued to experience sales growth while Oakville remained at a premium sale price.”
The dollar volume of all property sales processed through the OMDREB MLS increased in June 2014 to $479,445,007 from $442,598,128 in June 2013 – an increase of 8.3 Oakville’s median sale price for the month of June was $699,000, an increase of 8.1 per cent compared to June 2013.
