July 2013 Oakville Real Estate Market Keeps Local Realtors Bustling

According to figures released today by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of sales were up 12.7 per cent in July 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. Monthly sales totaled 736 compared to 653 in July 2012. The number of year-to-date sales slightly increased by 0.2 per cent.

“The Oakville and Milton real estate market experienced a busy month for July,” said Aziz Kanjee, President of OMDREB. “This is represented by an increase in nearly every statistic across the board, from the number of sales to new listings and median sales.”

The dollar volume of all sales processed through the OMDREB MLS® system increased in July 2013 to $340,460,441 from $292,129,666 in July 2012– up 16.5 per cent.  The dollar volume of sales year to date increased by an even 4 per cent year over year from 2012 to 2013.

Oakville’s median sale price for the month of July was $630,500, an increase of 14.9 per cent compared to July 2012.
