Cause for Paws, the party that kicks off summer in Oakville is back on Thursday, June 27 at 7pm…and this year it’s bigger than ever!
Cause for Paws, which features an incredible martini party, huge silent and decadent live auction take place on the beautiful grounds of Appleby College in Oakville and benefits the homeless animals of the Oakville & Milton Humane Society.
This year marks the twelfth year for Cause for Paws and promises to be the most exciting yet! World famous latin guitar sensation, Johannes Linstead will be performing with his trio, giving fans of his “guitar of fire” a once in a lifetime opportunity for an intimate setting to enjoy his award winning music.
Celebrity Chef David Adjey (The Food Network star of Restaurant Makeover and The Opener) will be attending Cause for Paws to live auction one of his incredible “Luxury Dinners for 10”! The lucky bidder will have Chef David in their home cooking a dinner they and their friends will never forget! The Cause for Paws Luxury Lottery is back and it’s better than ever too! This year Luxury Lottery ticket buyers will have the chance to win one of three incredible prizes to beautiful locations around the world. First prize is the uber-luxurious one week vacation to the Villas at Troon North in Scottsdale Arizona, followed by the second prize of a one week stay at very private Owners Club villas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and third prize is a luxury one week stay at the Owners Club at Hilton Head, South Carolina! Tickets for the Luxury Lottery remain at $100 with just 300 tickets available, increasing the odds of winning one of these great prizes!
New for 2013, there will be an on-site raffle of a gorgeous, mint condition, vintage Louis Vuitton pet carrier, valued at $2,800. Tickets for this year’s Cause for Paws are $40 which includes generous samplings from some of the areas great restaurants. Also included are the sausages, oysters and new for this year, sliders from Billy the Butcher, who has been part of Cause for Paws since the very first party, twelve years ago!
Cause for Paws is much more than a wonderful evening under the stars; the event raises much needed funds for the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. Over the past eleven years, Cause for Paws has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. The dedication and passion of the Cause for Paws committee combined with the compassion and generosity of the folks that come out to Cause for Paws, has changed the lives of thousands of homeless, abused and neglected animals.
Tickets for Cause for Paws are available at the Oakville & Milton Humane Society as well as at pet supply stores and veterinary clinics throughout Oakville. This year’s goal for the event is $120,000, with the funds going to the industry leading canine behavior modification and training program at OMHS, the Charlie Fund, a designated fund of the OMHS for emergency veterinary care for homeless animals and to Pay the Spay, a spay/neuter initiative where event attendees may donate increments of $50 which will spay or neuter a homeless animal at the OMHS.
