Oakville homeowner sprayed with 'noxious substance' in residential area

Police say the homeowner approached a "suspicious vehicle" parked on their driveway prior to being sprayed

Halton Police are investigating an incident that resulted in an Oakville homeowner being sprayed "with a noxious substance."

Police say the incident occurred on March 3 at approximately 10:00 p.m. The homeowner, who lives within the area of Lakeshore Road East and Winston Churchill Boulevard, says they noticed "a suspicious vehicle" parked on their driveway. Police describe the vehicle as a dark-coloured SUV.

At the time, the homeowner's vehicle, a Toyota pick up truck, was also parked on the driveway.

The homeowner approached the occupants inside the "suspicious" vehicle and was then sprayed by a noxious substance. The suspects then fled the scene with their vehicle.

Police report no physical injuries sustained as a result of the incident. The two suspects are described as male, brown skin and wearing hoodies.

No items were reported stolen.
